Review content:
Upon entering the Cellar Grille you are surrounded by one of, if not the most beautifully decorated restaurants I have ever been to. The decur screams of relaxation and Napa Valley. Having traveled extensively to the Wine Country, I can attest that they nailed it spot on. I went to the bar to gt a drink and was presented with a fantastic by the glass/martini list that made ordering a single dink dfficult. Holly, the bartender, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and spoke about how the owner changes the list about every three months to keep things fresh. He had some of the most ecletic wines that I had seen in Jacksonville ever. He really spanned the globe from Pinot Noirs from New Zealand, to Rose' from France, really quite broad. I settled on a Cab from the Barossa Valley, my friend had a interesting take on a key lime martini, she loved it, I thought it too sweet for me. After taking in the bar scene, which had a fabalous reggae guy singing, we sat down in the dining room. Its loud, but we were sat in the "elevated" seating section which made for a rell romantic setting. It felt like we were all alone in that corner booth. Our server Craig was quick on the drink orders and listed out the secials for the night, which included Prime Rib and a seafood dish, I think it was Grouper with crabmeat. It really took us a while to figure out what wine we wnted because it seemed that there were like 200 on the list. Craig helped us out, chose a blend from Argentina, delicious. Food was fabulous, Filet with mushrooms and onions and Prime Rib, dessert was to die for, Winsor Crown, and the appetizer, roasted brie and garlic was the perfect primer. Craig was nice enough to show us the wine room, which had about 5000 bottles in there and some very beautiful private dining options. Fantastic experience, will definitely be back. Pros: Service, wine and food, ambience Cons: loud and a bit chilly inside
