Little did I know what I was in for , when I took on this German Shepherd puppy! We went through puppy classes, group training, - but we needed more. It is easy to get discouraged and frustrated with a highstrong, overprotective dog on the other end of the leash. I finally called Terroux Training Kennels for advice and started private sessions shortly after. Both, my dog and I, feel very comfortable with our trainer, Rick McMurray. In every session we address certain "issues", and we have made constant progress. The kennel is in a very rural setting in West Arvada. It's nice to be able to train outdoors and still be in a controlled environment. When I have to leave town this fall, my dog can stay at the kennel with training, which gives me peace of mind. Raising a dog certainly requires commitment and consistency, but I feel like I got all the help I needed. Pros: Very individualized, very affordable Cons: Requires commitment on your part
