Businiess name:  Cascade Pest Control
Review by:  Kristen F.
Review content:
y problem with this company is twofold. First: I was not told over the phone that eliminating carpet beetles would require more than one spray. I got differing information from 3 employees. In reality, it took me three sprays (and I would up buying the spray off the internet and doing the 3rd spray myself). The information about how many sprays is mportant information to have when deciding what to pay for a service. Cascade did come out a second time for free after 90 days, when the beetles were still around. However, the problem still did not go away and I did not want to pay $1,000+ to manage the problem, which is what you would be charged for a persistant problem under their annual maintenance contract. FYI, it is easy and much cheaper to buy carpet beetle spray off the internet and do it yourself! $40 vs. $300+ for one spray! To Cascade's credit, they did come do a second spray for free, but I needed a third. Second, I was shocked that they engage in the use of glue mouse traps. Mice (and other animals such as kittens) become trapped in the glue and slowly starve to death. They have been found dead with their limbs gnawed off. Most large chains refuse to sell them (Safeway, Albertsons) and Australia has banned them. Yet Cascade claims to be "Humane and Green Pest Control." That is an outright lie. If you use this company, do not allow them to place glue traps in your home. Preferredly, send them a message about the inhumane use of glue traps by using another business
