Review content:
I have been taking guitar lessons at the academy for three months now. Jim ( the owner) is my teacher.
I played on my own for about for three months and then enrolled in Blue Ridge Acadamy. The experience has been great. I have advanced much faster with Jim's teaching. What I appreciate the most from my perspective is that sometimes when the music theory is confusing to me, Jim finds a way to make it simple.
Understanding the theory behind the music has allowed me to discover that there is more than just playing the notes to a song. I am able to do so much more with the music now that I know some of the theory. A difference I have learned is that you can play a song or you can make it sound like music. Once you learn to make it sound like music it's an awesome feeling .
The atmosphere is very relaxing and they are always willing to help even after your lesson is over. I usually have to call Jim mid week with a question and he is always there to give me an answer.
My son is also a student he is learning to play the drums. He is very happy with his experience.
