Review content:
A few weeks ago I decided to start up a new fitness program. Needless to say, I had forgotten I'm not the 20 or 30 something year old I used to be. After the first day, I was pretty achey and in a lot of pain. Someone had mentioned this group to me because they knew they specialize in targeted massage and one-on-one yoga therapy.
I called up and made an appointment for the next night. When I arrived, the place was inviting yet not overly posh like the big salons; the staff was courteous and professional and I was attended to immediately.
They brought me to the room where my massage would take place, asked me to undress to a level where I was comfortable and then to get under the sheet face up. A few moments later they returned and asked if there were any specific areas that were causing me pain or that really needed some focus. And surprisingly, the massage therapist actually listened and began to focus on my stiff, achey legs. As she worked on my legs, she asked if the pressure was right and we talked through what was happening.
I must say, that first 20 minutes really helped. I really felt a difference!
Overall my whole massage was very relaxing and it really helped with my aches and stiffness. The next day it was noticably better and I didn't have as much trouble walking as I had the day prior.
Since the massage was so beneficial, I think I'm going to sign up for a session of their one-on-one yoga therapy to really help me stretch and gain flexibility in my muscles so my fitness routine start is less painful.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a low-key and professional massage.
Pros: Not posh like the high priced salons, professional staff and very knowledgeable
