Regarding the review "Got Cash," I, as the COO of avecinia wellness center, would like to address the issue, generally speaking, since as a anonymous reviewer, the person cannot be identified and the actual issue can't be verified. Insurance is a complex puzzle. There are times when insurance will cover a certain aspect of treatment but not other aspects, we explain this to our patients but ultimately, it is our patients responsibility to understand their specific insurance policy since there isn't one overall policy. At other times, insurance may at first deny coverage, at which time we have to bill the patient, and then insurance may accept the claim. Sometimes this takes 6 months. If we did not request payment for services from all of our patients for 6 months, we would not be able to operate and provide care. As for the contraindicated meds, we recognize that in the past, there were times when either we were not fully informed about all the meds a patient was taking (whether the patient failed to inform us, or obtained medication from another doctor, or we did not record it correctly), but that is rarely the case. We are now using one of the most sophisticated Electronic Health Record programs (by Athenahealth) which allows us to download all medications taken by a patient in the last 18 months, regardless of where the prescription was from, except in very rare cases. The system allows us, and aides the patient, to better track their use of medication and well as other health concerns. I invite the individual with the "Got Cash" review to call me- Aamer Hayat, at 559-450-7299, to personally discuss exactly what happened. We take pride in the type of care and patient satisfaction we strive for and work towards every day.
