The Grove Theatre

Review content:
The Grove has been putting on community-produced productions for many years, and despite the ever-present danger of bankruptcy, has been kept afloat by loyal patrons and the community at large, who would hate to see this beautifully restored theater leave town. They produce mostly musicals with roles performed by local theatrical hopefuls and budding high school students, but due to owner Sheri Kinison's showbiz connections (she's the sister of the late comic Sam Kinison), there are often small-time celebrities who take leading roles (recently, American Idol's Ryan Starr took the lead in JOSEPH..). There are also children's productions and several straight plays that get produced throughout the year. A GREAT place for a first date!
