My family really expected to love this new indoor water park in the far North of Chicagoland. When you walk in it was total WOW!! Everything look wonderful and we were ready to have a lot of fun. However, as the time went on we found that the WOW was not long lived. First, the cost everything was much higher than we expected and was just too much for the area and quality of service and food. If this were a Loop hotel then I can see the prices but it is not and the service is not there either. Service was OK but nothing like it should be given they bill it as a 'cruise ship on land'. The room cost (and you can't use the water park at any price without renting one even if you live close by) was high enough (which we knew when booking) but they also add over 10% in taxes and extra fees to the room rate. The water park was nice but again we keep coming back to the VALUE. You can get a great water park in Arlington Hts. without renting a room for $100 or more LESS PER DAY not to factor in the added costs of food and drink at Key Lime Cove. I think with some re-working of the whole system it could do well but, though they were just open, it seemed empty and we at least can understand why. Pros: Very good water park, rooms were nice and new. Stunning decor. Cons: The total cost of a stay is VERY high vs. other indoor water park options, food and service were not up to the price charged.
