Review content:
My name is Michelle and I consider myself a cajun cuisine expert. I grew up in Baton Rouge. I have lived in the Atlanta area for 4 years and have been looking for a good Cajun food resturaunt since we came and have been rather unsuccessful. We tried Ji Bou Te Cajun Cafe and were very impressed. The atmosphere is casual. They have both local (Sweetwater) and Louisiana (Abita) beers on draft! HUGE PLUS! They also have all the major should be dishes of a Cajun cafe including Gator Bites, Crawfish dip, Etouffe, Jambalaya, Gumbo (both chicken and sausage and seafood!), fried dishes, blackened dishes, bread pudding, and will even carry boiled crawfish during the upcoming crawfish season! (The bread pudding with a caramel bourbon sauce was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of bread pudding in my time) In addition to the cuisine, the place is colorful, the service is excellent, the owners are New Orleans natives from the 9th Ward, and there is classic Zydeco playing nicely in the background. They also have an extensive take out menu for those late night Cajun cravings! I highly recommend this cute, Mom and Pop owned, fabulous food cafe and can't wait to return or bring some gumbo home! Try it for yourself. I assure you, you won't be disappointed.
