Crowders Mountain, the highest point in Gaston County, views stretch for more than 20 miles. Thing you can do: *Walk the park's many miles of trails. Collect bug for that science project. *Camping, be prepared it is primitive and some of the folks around camping are privative also. Group and back country camping is also available. The man made small lake is open for canoe rides and fishing. you can dip your toes in the water but no swimming allowed. Park hours November-February, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. March and October, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. April, May, September, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. June-August, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Closed Christmas Day Park office hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily Closed state holidays
