We have used this company 5 times in the past 5 years but we will NEVER use this company again after the extremely rude & misinformative customer service we received this last time. We were quoted one price at time of reservation. Then, at time of pickup, we were charged more but did not realize it until we saw our bank acct. At that point, I exercised my right to call and inquire about the change in price. Apparently, at pickup we were given a different type of chair (more expensive, of course) due to them running out of the chair we originally asked for. What's upsetting is that HAZ rental NEVER informed my husband about the change at time of pick up. Funny...I called 3 days ahead of time to place my reservation and asked specifically if I wanted the cheapest chair and I said YES! And then quoted a price according to that. Hmmm!
When I called to make this inquiry, the person who answered the phone was the same guy I reserved the equipment with and suddenly he didn't remember ever telling me the quote and stated. "Why would I have said that? We get 10,000 calls". HA! Sure they do! Anyway, I hung up because not only was this person VERY rude, he also cut me off when I was talking and voicing my concern. I didn't like his tone or his poor attitude...so I hung up! I know, I know! How mature LOL...but bear with me, I was upset and obviously, wasting my time with someone very unprofessional.
Anyway, this guy had the audacity to call me back on our home phone (woke up my 2 yrs old and husband on Father's Day!) and felt the need to argue with me as to why I told him I will NEVER use HAZ rental again. He went on and on saying some pretty off the wall stuff not pertaining to his misquote, of course. Who in their right mind calls a consumer at their home and blasts them after they simply just called to find out why they were overcharged.
That's how HAZ rental treats loyal customers?? WOW!! Like I said, I will NEVER use them again nor will I refer them to anyone! One more thing...I found it very interesting that when my husband returned the equipment, the customer ahead of him was being treated the same way. Pretty ironic! Every consumer has the right to question a misquote, an overcharge or anything else pertaining to a service they are paying for. It's OUR money and in this economy every penny counts. It is so sad that in today's world the customer service in most places has decreased so much. They obviously are not grateful to still be up and running even in the midst of our country's financial crisis. Shame on them!!
