Review content:
We received many estimates and ideas on having our home improvement project move forward. A couple quotes we received were outrageous; almost double the price of our lowest estimate. After a lot more research and 3-4 weeks later we both were exhausted, not to mention a bit more confused, with all the different opinions about what was the proper way to approach a couple of the areas and sections of our home. The suggestions ranged anywhere from ripping down two walls where our addition meets the original walls and reframing both walls including new drywall, insulation, sheathing and electrical wiring, to just going over it with the siding and leaving the old asbestos tiles on those walls. Needless to say the “leaving the asbestos up and covering it up with just the vinyl siding over it”, so our grandchildren can possible become exposed to it was never an option. Just when we were about to put the dream of having a new roof, windows, and siding installed, to protect and beautify our only home, off until next year, a neighbor who felt our pain recommended to give this guy Hank a call, and just see what he would say. I am so glad we did. It was like being in a different world; someone really listened and understood and had experienced this situation before. He just went ahead and spoke with the building inspector, and got the green light from the township and told us that whenever we did decide to go ahead with the project, he had written out to the “T” the exact steps and materials needed to make the problem, as Hank said “go away”. That night my wife and I sat in bed and both agreed, that “we can work with this guy”!!! We just had to get past the long hair (only kidding!!!) we both love him. Anyway we love our home and it now looks and feels so good (and we are able to take advantage of the “energy tax credit”, due to the materials that Hank Buhner and the guys from Aluminum Design used all meet the criteria of the credit. Thank you guys very much!!!
