We went in purchased a bike, that same day the gear shifts disintegrated. They (Mitch) were giving me the run around, my cousin came in & demanded they give me a better bike at no extra charge, we got a bike that cost $100 more, or $250 more according to Mitch, the biggest A-hole in that store. Taylorsville Bike shop had the same bike for $150 less. Almost every day for 2 weeks we had to bring the bike in due to the cheap generic tubes & tires popping, wobbly wheels, and only one person cared enough to service the bike and only to replace the tubes and administer slime shots, the rest of these dimwits were lazy and downright aggravating to deal with. Today was the last straw for me; I went in waited patiently for over an hour for Chris, their only bike technician, I received a ton of attitude from the pompous head Mitch, stating that he was the boss and that I can't keep coming in the store to get my tires fixed for free. I told them I didn't like his attitude and I'm just chillin here till Chris comes back from his break. I asked them if they can price match a local Sears store, the same $20 Tire was being sold for $11.69 at Sears, the Same $10 tube was being sold for $5 at sears, I checked it on my phone, they said they don’t match online stores, they said they even called Sears and Sears told them that their prices are different online and they don’t price match. I Actually Called that Sears and they told me the prices online are the same in stores, if they are not they will price match it and they will price match any competitor as well. So Sports Authority not only have terrible customer Service but they are filthy Liars! I told the Sears guy over the phone about the situation that I’m dealing with and he said he never got a call from any of these guys. If they didn’t sell such overpriced cheap generic products I wouldn't have to deal with egotistical compulsive lying douchebags like Mitch. Stay clear of these stores; always go to your local friendly bike shops where the knowledgeable staff actually cares.
