Review content:
Women for Women was founded by Zainab Salbi in 1993 to support women in war torn countries. This currently includes Bosnia, Rwanda, Iraq, just to name a few. Zainab had just graduated from college when she founded it and two years later, she was honored by the Clintons. She has taken the organization very far, expanding it interationally. She's been on Oprah numerous times, been on the cover of Time, and is truly an inspiring philanthropist.
Women for Women is based out of DC and matches up sponsors who donate a fixed amount each month to sponsor a woman in a war torn country. These funds go to helping women establish themselves and provide for their families. In DC, volunteers can help support the organization. This organization really does a great deal to empower women and rebuild communities one step at a time.
