Hugo Schmidt Elementary is home of the "Sailors" and is nestled away in a quiet neighborhood. The 2005/2006 school is the 3rd year it is open. The school has been rated as an "A" school for the past 2 years. They have many activities for children to further their learning. The school has an excellent program for children with special needs and learning disabilities. They have an after school program for the children for a fee. They also offer classes in their "Sailor Academy" such as Spanish, Dance, Sewing, Photography, etc. These classes are for 1hr after school and the fees are very fair. I even made sure that when we moved, my daughter could still attend school here. I have been very happy with this school.
