Review content:
I'd rather pull my own teeth without pain meds then step foot into this torture chamber.
I have been seeing Dr. Spades for a few years (my previous dentist died, so I had to switch) and never in twenty years did I have a cavity until I went to see him. Suddenly, I need tons of "cavities" filled (I never had any sensitivity or anything...not like Dr. Spades would ever consult me about my own dental care). Apparently, he never learned to fill a cavity. He drilled too far (because he deems it more important to chat with his hygienist about hunting or camping or other inane subjects than WATCH WHAT HE IS DOING). I then needed a root canal. They took ZERO responsibility for their mistake and told me "well...it just happens..." Right.
Every person I've spoken to who has gone to Dr. Spades for a cavity filling or root canal or anything other than a cleaning (which the hygienists do), they have had complications. I understand that sometimes a cap falls out, but EVERY time and within one year?? AND they will find a way to charge you for it.
The last time I went, they did NOTHING. They made me sit in the chair for 40 minutes until Dr. Spades said that I needed to reschedule because his staff wanted to go home. He then billed my insurance $60. I may not have to pay out of pocket, but I indirectly pay for those visits to my insurance company. It is healthcare workers like him that are creating this increasing problem among the uninsured. It's expensive because of their irresponsibility and greed, charging for services not given.
I have been seeing him for at least four years and the last time I saw him, he said "What's your name again?" Seriously??!? You treat my entire family! He couldn't even look at my chart or ask one of his hygienists?? Completely unprofessional.
