This wildly favorable endorsement of Alan Auto is a bit of a cautionary tale. When I first purchased my Volvo from his shop years back I knew that my ‘92 740 wagon was in for a bit of a rough ride, what with living in Boston. What I didn’t quite appreciate were the mechanical “potholes” that would come with city driving. Sure, I found places to perform routine service, however, when the day arrived to address the more serious and unique issues, back to Maine I went (and now always go). If you’re like me and believe that excellence is not a singular act, but a habit, Alan and his crew are without equal.
