The Cockpit store is by far one of the most unique boutiques in New York. The apparell has a classic military style, with authentic detail. This is the only place in new york that you can get a military style "D.I." shirt emblazoned with authentic military patches. The store is the official supplier of leather for the U.S. Airforce, so it is the only place in the world that you can purchase an official U.S. military bomber jacket. The leather is by far the most impressive aspect of the Cockpit brand, they have jackets with researched detail, my personal favorite was their "vietnam era" G-1, the jacket apparently was based on an authentic altered U.S. navy leather that actually served in the Gulf of Tonkin. The jacket features authentic squadron and ship patches, as well as a hand painted back featuring an image of the aircraft carrier on which the jacket served. There is also a full selection of women's leather, including an amazing jacket based upon the leather that Ameilia Earhart made famous. This is by far my favorite store, and it's only in New York!! Pros: classic military aesthetic, vintage inspired apparell, Cons: only store in manhattan
