Review content:
This is a great place to watch a movie if you're in Brooklyn.
First of all, it's in Fort Greene, which means it's really close to almost all the subways, AND to a bunch of great restaurants, bars, cafes, and great people-watching (see my other reviews for nearby stuff).
Second, they usually have a good lineup of indie movies. While there are lots of good indie theaters in NYC, this is one of the few that's spacious, with stadium seating and big screens.
Which brings me to the third point: it's beautiful! It's wonderfully maintained, with a lot of its original fixtures, high ceilings and shiny floors. This is not your ratty Manhattan theater...
Also, there's a swanky cafe/bar on the premises for a before or after-movie drink. I haven't tried it yet so can't vouch for it...
