I walked into this new salon on my block which took forever to open! Its a real sleek and an inviting environment, so, I had to be nosey! I asked the receptionist how much a haircut was and he said $95 to $125 for men but the only person available (because they opened the day before and the other stylist weren't starting til the week after.) was Xac the owner and he charges $125. I gagged! I asked Xac what makes you any different than my barber who charges $25? What, do you cut with diamonds and gold? He laughed and said, "Tell you what, I'll cut your hair and if you don't see a difference, I'll charge you $25 and you'll never come back again! If you are happy, then pay my asking price! I was like, yea right!!! He insisted! So, of course I did it...... First I want to apologize to Xac! You are truly an amazing stylist! For me to come into your salon and act like such an idiot was very distasteful and I am very sorry! I cannot believe this guy and the way he moves his hands, it was scary and amazing to watch! He used only scissors to cut my hair and yet he did this fade that only a buzzer can do! Of course I paid the full amount cuz I didn't want him to think I was just trying to get over! Besides, the guy really is worth it! I have to admit, I went back to my barber but was very disappointed in the end! I waited a month after my barber cut and went back to Xac. He immediately remembered me and said, what happened to your head? We laughed and he cut my hair. I was wowed again and even my friends notice the difference but think I'm crazy for paying so much. I don't care, its worth it! Xac baby, you are the bomb! Thanks for putting a whole in my pocket but my hair looks great! See you next month!
Pros: A real honest salon!!!! They are obviously not in it solely for the money!
Cons: They are expensive but worth it!
