Review content:
I have grown up on the NYC slice, so it is hard for me to think of pizza any other way than the thin crust by-the-slice parlor kind. State College serves its pizza in a similar way, but its hard to find places that actually taste anything like a New York slice. Surprisingly enough, College Pizza--a small basement parlor catering to mostly students--serves it up decently.
The slices are cheap $1 for a regular slice and $1.50 for a specialty slice, but you can make it an even better bargain by buying a special ($3-$4 depending on the kind of slices) which will get you all-you-can-drink soda and a bread stick to boot. They also offer you free hot or mild marinara sauce that you ladle out yourself. They offer a large variety of slices like pepperoni, meatball, pesto & tomato, garden vegetable, mushroom, etc. College Pizza does by-the-pie, and they do delivery too, although I have not tried that yet.
