In response to Steele:
The same thing happened to me, with the exception that I got my money back. Upping the price at the register is also something else I have experienced frequently at this location.
I can vouch to the horrible manager, she is completely in over her head when it comes to dealing with customers. I understand that a lot of the employees are there on a work program, but you HAVE to have proper management.
** I do have to state that this review DOES NOT apply to the Flamingo location or any experiences I had with the other N. Las Vegas location that closed prior to the opening of this one.**
Lastly, after 10 years of donating to Deseret frequently and faithfully I have had to take my donations elsewhere. This saddens me because I have always believed in Deseret and what they do (and I'm not LDS so it wasn't about religion). Until the various events at this Craig location that led to me deciding to no longer do business with them, I felt this was a wonderful charity. I even used to pick up donations from friends and family and drive out of my way to make donate to Deseret because I felt that they were the better charity in this town.
Deseret, you should know that for a charity that relies on it's community to help conducting bad business and ostracizing your customers hurts not only your name but it hurts those you are trying to help.
Pros: very clean store, wide variety
Cons: unethical business practices
