Review content:
My wife and I scheduled appointments on the same day with Dr. Burden's office for standard hygiene sessions. We were received by the receptionist in an overly nice manner at first. Then they examined my wife, who was pregnant at the time, and asked her to join the 'consultation room', where they proposed a treatment plan for over $5000 (about $3000 copay) claiming that she needs to extract 4 of her wisdom teeth because they were in terrible condition, and "you can never reach them it's a nuisance", then they explained because she has a horrible gingivitis condition (mind you, their examination took less than 5 minutes mostly done by the hygienist), that they can't do the hygiene on her teeth and that it would make it worse!! OK... We are a minority and it couldn't be more obvious that we were being treated like barbarians that never went to a dentist before. Then they examined my mouth, and said that I have gingivitis TOO and that I can't do the hygiene this session. Again they asked me to join them in the 'consultation room', made me wait there for 30 minutes (until they get their story straight :) ) then proposed a $2000 treatment plan... It gets better, they then warned my wife that the baby will be pre-mature FOR SURE and that it's proven that gingivitis is worse than smoking for pregnant women. That of course caused my wife to panic and worry to death until she spoke with her obs doctor and found it the risk is there but it's not major. Horrible horrible experience overall; these people played us, wasted our time, and we'd never recommend anyone to visit their office unless you want a big show, an overly exaggerated 'treatment plan' and want to get rid of perfectly fine wisdom teeth - you know it's only $400 extraction and you won't feel a thing!! what a joke...
