You get the ambience of an Asian market as if you were in Chinatown in a major city. Staff is friendly but many do not speak good English. Good variety of Chinese patent medicines and oriental teas and herbs. Excellent selection of foods for both Thai and Vietnamese cuisines and others I am not familiar with. Reasonably priced produce appears best on Thursdays or Fridays. I think it comes from L.A. late on Wednesdays. I usually put in a takeout order at Pho Thanh restaurant, a few doors down that serves Vietnamese cuisine and then do my shopping at the market. Many dishes in a 5$ to 6$ price range. They advertise the best beef noodle soup in town. Healthy beef broth, loads of rice noodles, and fresh vegetables with sprouts! It is packaged well so that even the soup gets home without spilling. In one quick trip I can take home food for the evening and odds and ends from the market to make meals for several days for less money than I normally spend at Frys.
