I've been searching for a salon since moving into the neighborhood, and a couple of friends suggested I try Mathis Murphy. I made an appointment for a Saturday early evening with Kyle Mathis, one of the co-owners. Everyone at the salon was so warm and welcoming, and there is nothing pretentious about the place or the people. Kyle took great care to give me the cut and color that I wanted. At the end of the appointment, I felt relaxed and pampered, and I felt like my money paid for real results, not just the experience. I'm about due for another cut, and I will most certainly be making another appointment with Kyle.
Pros: Welcoming atmosphere and staff; great haircut
Cons: Parking is tough on this busy street
