Review content:
St. Edward State Park has to be one of the most beautiful parks along Lake Washington. It is located at the north end, near Kenmore. Watch carefully for the signs, or you will drive right past it.
It is a day park only, there are no camp sites available. You must pay $5 parking (be sure to pay it, they will leave a ticket if not). for each visit unless you have a state parks parking permit. They open at 8a.m. until dusk each day.
The park has several picnic tables scattered throughout the area. There are several large areas to fly kits, play Frisbee or ball without worrying about running into another group. The area also has several paths for walking/hiking that aren't too rough.
You can access the waterfront through trails, but not cars.
An on site indoor swimming pool is also available, although the public swim times vary.
Best of all is the huge playground for kids- it has a tot area for the little ones, plus plenty of rock walls, climbing structures, slides and areas to play for the older kids. It is enclosed in somewhat, so you don't have to worry about the little ones wandering off.
