Review content:
I usually went to Merchants to have small things done like an oil change or belts replaced. Their service was great and inexpensive. They worked with me and got my car fix and ready in a timely manner. So i begn to go to them often. Well my car had cut off one morning and i took my car to merchants. They kept my car overnight but said they could not find anything wrong. Everything was in tip top shape. One of the mechanics said he drove it about 5 miles to see if he had a problem and nothing. So a week later when my car cut off again, i took it back to merchants. The mechanic then told me I had 6,000 worth of work that needed to be done inluding a new engine. Now i knew my car was a little old (1997) but $6,000 is a bit steep. Needless to say, i told them not to do anything and picked up my car. I had a friend look at it and he said one of my filters was clogged and that is what was causing my car to cut off. He replaced it and only charged me $50. And i havent had a problem with my car since. So you be the judge
