Review content:
My poor Labradoodle has had an awful time there, and we've gone to the Issaquah PetSmart off-and-on over the course of 3 years. At the Pet Hotel a dog bit his ear, and their vet had to stitch him up while we were gone! The Pawgress Report (literally, I'm not kidding you) said "Great experience, No issues" on it. When we asked why they didn't mention the bite & bleeding, they said because the "Pawgress Report is for only reporting good things." Huh?! Just think of all the bad experiences that aren't being reported. And the Grooming Salon? Horrible. One time the groomer shaved his ears too close and he bled for eight days where she nicked him. She even had to take him to the on-site vet to have them stop the bleeding when I picked him up. We waited a year, then thought, "Maybe they'll have changed groomers." This last time I went, we only requested a Bath & Brush because we didn't want to take the chance of him getting cut again. When I picked him I noticed blood on his paw. The groomer didn't even tell me, and when I pointed it out she said, "Oh yeah, I cut him a little too close on his nails." I said, "Oh. . .Did he cry?" and she said (get this) "No, they don't even feel it." Oh, REALLY?? Because I've seen dogs cry from that before. We will NEVER go back there again. I feel completely horrible that I kept giving Issaquah PetSmart a chance. They just have truly bad quality control and the workers are sketchy people in general. I knew a girl who quit working in the grooming salon because they were told they had to reach a quota of groomed dogs per hour, and that's all they care about-- grooming FAST, and quality was not emphasized. As for the main store workers, one time my puppy peed on the floor and the kid on duty made me wipe it up while he stood OVER me, watching, even though I had my baby girl in my arms (who was crying at the time). I always clean up after my pets, but that was just wierd. . . Also the cashiers are consistently rude. It's bizarre. Save yourselves by not EVER going there!
