Businiess name:  Dr Wagner's Southridge Optical

Review content:
I've worn glasses all my life and have gotten them from almost everywhere in the Milwaukee area: Wisconsin Vision, Lenscrafters, D.O.C., Macy's Optical, Penney's Optical, Sears, Optix, etc. I am sticking with Dr. Wagner's from now on. Due to a neurological condition, I get my prescription from a neuro-opthamologist, but my daughter gets hers from Dr. Wagner. He is always very helpful and takes his time with her. It is easy to get an appointment, and he has evening hours, which means she doesn't have to miss school. They take my vision insurance, but the staff always calculates which is cheaper: their current special or the discount my insurance offers. Sometimes it is one, and sometimes the other. Yes, they are often crowded, but I have never found the staff to be rude. If the one poster felt ignored, all he needed to do was ask for help. Perhaps they didn't notice him. It is not always easy for three staffers to help a multitude of customers in a busy optical practice and remember exactly who came in first. I have always seen them working hard, trying to help everyone in the store. Dr. Wagner offers one-year insurance on glasses, which I always purchase for my daughter. I believe it costs less than $50 and covers loss and breakage for a small deductible for one year. I like this since kids often break and lose things. They have an incredible selection of frames and are very helpful in assisting you in selecting yours. Unlike Lenscrafters, where they tell you everything looks fabulous on you because they just want to make a sale, the staff here seems to genuinely want you to walk out looking good. I probably tried on 80 pairs of frames, and the staff person never seemed rushed or irritated. Most lenses are in stock, and my daughter's glasses are usually ready in an hour. My lenses are unusual, and so it generally takes 2-3 days for them to come in, which I don't mind. I recommend Dr. Wagner's to everybody. This place is fabulous. Pros: Takes insurance and has good sales Cons: Located in Southridge Mall
