I was shocked to see bad reviews of the WAB. While not a regular, we still go about 8-10 times a year for the past few years and have never had a bad experience. I don't know how someone could hold the restaurant responsible for a long wait. They can't kick people out of their seats. Take a look around. Is there anyone else waiting in front of you? If there are 10-15 tables in front of you at the WAB its going to be a bit of a wait. There are tons of places on Woodward so if takes you 5-10 minutes to work your way in and to the bar you may want to think about going somewhere else.\r \r Also as someone that used to work at restaurants while in college, as did my fiance, we can both sympathize with a ""regular"" that doesn't tip. Most people don't know that waitstaff only makes a couple bucks an hour, plus tips. On top of that, they only keep a portion of the tips as they have to share with other members of the staff. On slow nights you could easily make less than minimum wage and to have someone come in and repeatedly not tip would drive someone crazy. I applaud their staff and management for putting the so called patron in his place. \r \r As for our review of the WAB, its a great place, with great beer and a wonderful staff. Their specials for half off appetizers is a great deal and everyone that we know that has been their once has had the same experiences we have.\r Pros: Great beer and 1/2 off appetizer specials
