Review content:
I purchased a very expensive piece of furniture from CH, and when the piece did not function as it should and the craftmanship was poor (new furniture today is just not that well made, no matter whether it's high-end or not), I received absolutely no help from CH. It took numerous calls and emails and two weeks until somebody got back to me, and even then they refused to budge *one iota* on even a small price adjustment, even to compensate me for my handyman's time in fixing the piece so it would work properly or something nominal to make me feel better -- and this for a several thousand dollar piece of furniture. They have no concern for customer time and effort and inconvenience in trying to deal with service issues. I was shocked that this is the way they treat people who have spent thousands of dollars in their store, and I can tell you this attitude goes all the way to the top of the management as I spoke with the owner who was not willing to compromise one inch -- I get a more customer-satisfaction-oriented attitude at the Pottery Barn for a $10 candle. Don't shop here, you will regret it if you need anything once you have paid in full and the piece is delivered. One reviewer said they are worse than used car dealers, but that is an insult to all the car dealers out there. I have never spent so much and been so disregarded as a customer - -not even an "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and we do value your business."
