Honeymoon Island is perfect for an afternoon without the intense crowds at Clearwater Beach. It is located 20 minutes north of Clearwater Beach and is inside of a state park. There is a small admission fee based on vehicle - and if you need to leave you can re-enter with your paid receipt for that day.
There is a special area for dog-owners to allow their pet to roam along the beach.
Parking is sufficient and bathrooms/showers are located throughout the park.
