I don't usually like to write reviews - especially one that essentially mirrors plenty of reviews already written. I really had a great experience here yesterday, though, so I wanted to make sure I wrote something!
I just started taking care of a wonderful 2-year-old labrador a few months ago (a relative recently fell ill and was unable to provide the necessary care). I was walking through the Gaslamp last week and saw the sign outside and figured I would just stop in and browse, seeing as how all the toys I acquired were meant for puppies! As soon as I walked in, I can really only describe it as a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and talked with me about my pup for a good 20 minutes while I was looking at their surprisingly huge selection of, well, everything! The store is not terribly large, but they have a lot to look through without making it overwhelming: collars, toys, food, even clothes! I didn't buy anything, but the staff thanked me and were very grateful for even just coming in.
Needless to say, I ended up coming back (yesterday), and the experience was doubled. I bought a couple of new toys for Copernicus (my relative is a science person, and I'm a Back to the Future nerd - so that worked out perfect!), and the staff was, again, welcoming and helpful. I'm incredibly lucky (no pun intended) to have Lucky Dog so close - anyone looking for anything related to dogs should regard this boutique as a priority!
Pros: Great customer-service, selection; nice website, too!
