Review content:
My stepfather is a dentist but resides back east. I went to the Smudde denistry, and has an exam and cleaning. I did not feel the cleaning was that good because it took less than an hour to do my entire mouth and there was still bleeding a few weeks afterwards in certain places. The best local cleaning I ever had took a few visits because they spent an hour on each quad! They told me that I MIGHT need a root canal and wanted to do it. Because they seemed unsure I asked my x-rays be emailed to my stepfather. He looked at them and said you couldn't really tell very well from the xray. Furthermore, he said two of the x-rays were not readable and they shouldn't charge me for them. He instructed that they should open up the tooth in question and at least see if they could put a medicine filling in it for 6 weeks and see if that would work. Mr. Smudde did not like being challenged like this, so he sent over Mrs. Smudde, his fake, creepy Stepford wife, to talk to me. They told me this was not the practice for me, and refused to do the work. This after having me leave work to come there for an appt. I told them on the phone before I came there what I wanted done. They could have told me then if they didn't want to. They wanted to make money off of the x-rays that weren't entirely readable , and wanted to make money off of a root canal instead of trying something else first. It was more about money than health and ethics. They saw they weren't going to make money off of me, so they wanted me out.
