I was stuck in Kalispell, MT, a few years back when my car broke down on the way to Glacier National Park.
Anyway, conveniently enough, just about the time the car started showing signs of trouble, I was trying to figure out where to stay the night - and I was near the Aero Inn, so, ahem, in I went!
The Aero Inn is owned by some ex-Air Force pilot, hence the name. It's quite comfortable and clean - I had no complaints at all, and the prices are quite in line with the usual chain motels. I recommend checking it out if you're in the area and you would prefer to stay at an independent instead of one of the usual chains.
