We are pleased to announce The Ouch My Eye 2nd Annual International Invitational opening on February 27th, 2010 at the Ouch My Eye Gallery (1022 1st Avenue South) in Seattle. The opening reception will be from 7pm-midnight and the show runs from February 27th, 2010 through March 24th, 2010. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday 10am-5pm and by appointment. Ouch My Eye has nearly always chosen work based on curatorial themes and open calls, with a focus on group shows. However, we are proud to present our 2nd Annual International Invitational Exhibit featuring artists we feel are aligned with the mission of Ouch My Eye. The artists participating this year were carefully selected from a large field of international, national, and local talent who exemplify the passion to create regardless of popularity, esteem, or financial marketability. This year we will be featuring the work of: Charles Krafft - http://www.myspace.com/disasterware Gabriel Moreno - http://www.gabrielmorenogallery.com/ Chris McMullen - http://www.chrismcmullenproductions.com/ Joe Vollan - http://www.myspace.com/joevollan John Lewis – Joshua Smith - http://www.hydro74.com/ Lynn Schirmer - http://www.lynnschirmer.com/ Mike Clay - http://www.powerslidedesign.com/ Ryohei Hase - http://www.ryoheihase.com/top.html Tracy Boyd - http://www.boyd-art.com/ Ouch My Eye is a small cartel of creatives dedicated to supporting the Seattle community through the creation and exhibition of the visual arts. With an un-orthodox model of a self funded gallery and creative studio, Ouch My Eye has outlasted many traditional non-profit organizations and art galleries by staying focused on the core mission of creative community, going out of our way to seek out artists whose work is guided by a passion to create regardless of education, affiliation, or accomplishment.
