Review content:
There was a lot of hype about this place over the past years with it being new and a new conservatory. But, after paying $10, I was shocked to see all the weeds, bare ground and half-dead plants all over. There are better looking flowers in my neighbor's garden and she's not a garden expert!
The conservatory has white bugs on plants and plants were cut into awful shapes and there are half-dead plants inside it. This and its not even 2 years old? The fall butterfly show was horrible. We saw more dead butterflies in the beds and on the sidewalks that fluttering around.
The containers around the main building and elsewhere look like my son grabbed things and put them into a pot of mulch and labeled it "art'.
Focus your time and money elsewhere. There are no drinking fountains or restrooms in the gardens, so be prepared to walk miles. Unless the Christmas lights are pretty, I can't see anything improving here when it comes to quality for the dollar. I've seen amazing things at Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia and of course at Biltmore in Asheville.
