This school is ok but you get what you pay for subsidized education and mediocre classes.
There are more party and social events than I care to count none of which I would care to attend. Nothing is geared toward students with families.
On campus housing is a joke at a whopping 2200 dollars which you would split with roommates.
Tuition went up 30% and class offerings went down. If you are single and don't have to worry about money or when to take classes then this school is for you.
If you are working or have a family good luck on trying to find a schedule that you can work with.
I have had more grad students teaching me in fundamental classes like math and English than I care to admit. Parking is overprices 135 for the regular semester and 65 for the second summer session. (125 for both summer sessions)
summer fees: 1422 (for 7 units)
Spring/Fall: 1877 for 12+ units
Oh and starting Fall 09 you are capped at taking 12 units only...and the tuition will increase and extra 300 something dollars.
So a bargain on cost but not in outcome..I would suggest going to a CC near your home and then transfer in during the last 2 because they will talk you into getting many student loans you don't need.!!
Oh and books are overprice (at every campus for sure) this summer they didn't buy back any of the books I purchased for classes they required before apply for the credential program (lib studies) They only had new on the shelves so I ended up paying full price (280 for three classes) Good luck on getting a buy back
