Good: If you want to be left waiting or stranded then Mid Island is the car service company for you. The wait is always twice as long as you are told. There can be hidden fees and you always meet new people.. Bad: You always have other customers in the car. Getting from Point A to Point B is like using public transit without any comfort paying VERY HIGH FARE. The radio will be playing something that you don’t want to hear but asking the unhappy driver to turn it off or down can present a more discord. The windows are down in the heat of summer and cold of winter.
If you have packages BEWARE you will be told of an additional fee. That’s right! It’s like the airlines.. Improvements: Depending on who is playing dispatcher, you may get someone pleasant and professional or a "real jackass"! There lies the problem. With nasty dispatchers, short staffing, short tempers, unhappy drivers and other complaining customers you have an unpleasant experience at a high cost.. Other: In fact if you want to learn how to get around Staten Island, one of their unhappy drivers will tell you who the better car service companies are on SI or which bus routes run on which streets to ease your commute. The customers you meet will tell you it is the first time and last time they will be using Mid Island..
