Rude staff, insolent management
I just came back from a truly awful experience at this place. Even though the restaurant had few customers in it, we waited several minutes just to be seated. Water and chips came fairly quickly, but our server seemed to be MIA. She finally came to brusquely take our order well over 5 minutes later. Not at all friendly, she would not even try to accomodate a special request.
When the food did arrive, it was less than acceptable. The carne asada had no detectable flavor to it. I pushed the plate away and waited for someone to remove the offending dish while I read a newspaper. No luck. When my dining companion was nearly finished with his food, I finally had to resort to pushing about a third of the plate off the edge of the table to get someone’s attention. A manager arrived and asked what was wrong:The steak had no flavor! She then asked what I wanted her to do about it(?!?!?!) I told her I did not want it. She took the plate away and came back telling me it did not look like I had eaten any of it. WHY WOULD I GO TO A RESTAURANT ORDER FOOD JUST TO SEND IT BACK WITHOUT TOUCHING IT???
I would be hard pressed to think of anyone in a restaurant that has been more insolent.
Oh, and for ambience, we had the added bonus of the busboy whistling throughout this nightmare.
