I purchased a carbon FSA handlebar and Zipp carbon stem. I was charged full retail for both only to find out that the handlebars were LAST YEAR's model, though new. While I was there, I asked Alex about my rims, which were Shimano R500's which I had learned have a tendency to go out of round very easily- as I had learned for myself about 2 weeks ago. He looked at them and said they looked pretty new and didn't need replacing. I also had called early Wednesday to order a Zipp VUMA QUAD crankset, which I told Alex I wanted to be installed for the ACS BIke-a-Thon. The crankset never got ordered until Thursday. And, even though I told him that I would pay for FedEx air shipment, they were ordered as a routine order which never arrived by Friday. I felt that there was no interest in me as a customer, despite paying full retail for every item. It is quite a contrast, because I went over to Cycle Sport on Saturday. Even though they were very busy, Harry took a lot of time with me, answered my questions in detail consistent with my level of intelligence and education. We talked rims. And, ultimately, he sold me a pair of Mavic Ksyrium ES's at a great price. But, beyond that, they dissembled my entire drivetrain and setup my entire bike from stem to stern at NO COST. I have since checked out the reviews for Cycles BiKyle on the web. I see by a huge majority that my experience is consistent with others. I know they have great stuff. And, no doubt they have great knowledge and experience. But, the aloofness of the staff and the lack of consideration for me as a person and my needs as a rider are stunning.
