I have been taking animals to Dr. Mara for about 18 years. Dr. Mara has become very popular, and unfortunately that can make scheduling difficult at times. However in tha case of any emergency Kevin and the staff have always been there for me and my animals. Dr. Mara sat with me at around 2 a.m. when my dearly loved siamese was near death. He went above and beyond for my kitty and was there for me when he passed. When another kitty ate some artificial flowers and I could not get in touch with Kevin I took him to an emergency vet and they gave us lots of things to do and charged us $$$$$$. The next day Dr. Mara called me back and I took the cat to him as well, he gave me better advice and saved me lots more $$$ in the return visits the emergency vet wanted us to make. (The kitty is happy and healthy still after several years). The staff have changed some recently, but the older staff still recognize and greet me and my animlas when we vist (even though it is usually only once a year). Even though I have moved to Henniker I still insist on making the trip to see Dr. Mara for all regular care. (I do now use the vet next door for emergencies if i can not get in touch with Dr. Mara because they were recommended by him). Thank you Dr. Mara and your staff. You have ALWAYS been there for my family.
