I definitely agree with those posters that say they are pushy. I went in for one consultation when I first moved to Tierrasanta because my dog was slightly limping. As soon as she started to give me a long shpiel about how my dog is an 'athlete' and may need a hip replacement and how they would need to take xrays right away at the cost of $500. I thought to myself 'you have got to be kidding'. We love our dog but given that we have a whole family to support, we have to draw the line somewhere. I never went back again, and took my dog to a much more reasonable vet that I love (Rancho Mesa Animal Hosp.) who never thought she needed a knee replacement and my dog is doing fine 2 years later. However, since that one visit, they continue to call me every once and a while to try to get me to schedule an office visit for vaccines or whatever. Really 'pushy' to say the least.
