Like I said I had an awesome time at this church in Vancouver Wa. Heard a great message called Can Any Good come from suffering? Thought I would pass the notes along. Yes good can come from suffering. Suffering and woundedness can bring around great renewal and healing. Job 5:17-18 Consider the joy of those corrected by God. Do not despise the chasting of the Lord when you sin. For though he wounds he also bandages. Though he strikes he also heals. Rom 5:3-4 We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us, they help us learn and endure. Endurance develops strength of character. 2 Cor 12:10 Since I know it is all for Christs good I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. for when I am weak then I am strong. 2 Tim 2:10 I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those who God has chosen. Heb 12:11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening - it is painful! But, afterward there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. James 1:3-4 When your faith is tested your endurance has a chance to grow for when your endurance is fully developed you will be strong in character and ready for anything. How do you stay close - by not giving up. God has not abandoned us in times of suffering. Thought is would give you a little taste of New Direction Community Church in Vancouver Wa. Hope you enjoyed it. God Bless
