A neighborhood grocery providing more than the ordinary shelf stock inventory. Wiersma's superior meat \ deli department is of the highest quality in western Michigan. Wiersma's is a true neighbor icon.
The service is friendly, accessible and knowledgeable. A lost traveler seeking directions, a hopeful chef in need of encouragement , a weekend vacationer seeking a quick picnic, a cook seeking suggestions of side choices with a untried recipe, or a shopper looking for the obscure ingredient - This is Wiersma's. This is more than a corner store. The integrity of Wiersma's Central Park Foods originates from family values devoted to the highest quality of product in combination with dependable straightforward service.
The larger, corporate integrity, duplicated, mass produced mammoth stores have a staff with the only purpose of creating advertisements enticing shoppers in, thus increasing capital revenue. This staff knows little of the actual product. It's all about a sale. This is all hype with a 'me' attitude. Little attention is given to the product quality or customer satisfaction. In today's market, the consumer still has the choice of product, quality and experience. It is now the time to support our locally owned establishments or the choice will be lost.
