New Paltz, in addition to being a college town, is also known as a gateway to the great outdoors.
If you're heading up to New Paltz for hiking or rock climbing, you've probably packed most of what you need. But it's still worthwhile to stop by here - not only for those things you may have forgotten, but the browse the store and chat with the staff.
Most of the people who work here are also hikers and climbers, and are happy to share tips and info with you. And you may end up hiking of climbing in a spot you hadn't considered.
