Good: Making and appointment was easy and I mostly felt like we were able to make appointments that worked with our schedule. The nurses were wonderful and always called me back in a timely manner. If one nurse couldn't fully answer my questions she would get another one to call me and explain in more detail. Getting prescriptions called in was easy as well.. Bad: Dr. Howerton seemed very unpredictable in her moods and how much time she was willing to invest in each appointment from visit to visit. If she was running behind schedule she make me to feel that my question were a nuisance and didn't answer them to my satisfaction. One appointment she was in fact very unprofessional and in my opinion rude. My husband was at the appointment with me and held his tongue but refused to see her again and preferred that I find a new doctor.. Improvements: Professionalism, calmness, concern, and information from the doctor would be a marked improvement from our experience. Consistency between the theory of treatment and practice among the treating staff (nurses, doctors, and PA's) would be of great help and alleviate concerns an confusion trying to determine what you should be doing as a patient in reguard to diet, health and exercise during pregnancy...especially if you are having issues unique to your own pregnancy..
