Had trouble finding a reasonably priced hotel in SD area without being in the downtown. We didn't want to go for hotels that had doors facing outside (like motels), and this was the lowest price. It's located right by hwy 8, convenient to Mission Bay, Sea world, and across the street from Mission Valley shopping center. 10 min drive on 163 to downtown SD. So very convenient. $14 for parking per night. Interior is modern, clean and rooms are spacious. We had a room that faces the freeway, which you can hear the cars go by on the highway. If you are not too big on have to stay in a really nice area, this is a great choice. If you have lots of money to waste, go stay at Mission bay or Del Coronando. Otherwise, this one is great in the Mission Valley area.
