Review content:
I was there the night this happened. And sadly I see this guy made good on his threat. But $60 dollars wasted? HA! He didn't pay for his meal nor did he even tip the poor waitress. But rather stormed out returning shortly with a rambling but darkly threating letter about "dog food", he threw at the cashier, owner and anyone else he could accost. He made no effort to correct the situation--only make a big show to intimidate an already bewildered owner which he had by now in tears. It was pretty low on his part: strictly postal, this one.
But hey a free meal, some cheap entertainment--what's not to like? Another South Carolina low-rent behaving badly.
This is a great little "neighborhood Sushi bar"--in Mauldin, SC no less! The fish is fresh, the food is well prepared, the menu is honest if a tad over extended and the premise is always immaculately clean as are the dishes, silverware, glasses, etc.
3 stars. Oh please, this ain't San Fran or NYC--it's Mauldin, SC. And, I, for one, am elated to have sucha place just down the street and around the corner that, I can go to weekly for some beers, dead fish and not spend over $50 for the wife and myself. Dog food, indeed.
