Review content:
Matthews Estate winery and event center is sited on a private eight acre estate in Woodinville, Washington, just twenty minutes northeast of the city of Seattle, right in the middle of Woodinville Wine Country and more than 40 other wineries. The winery is focused on maintaining production of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux style varietals, but also Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Cabernet Franc wines, using grapes grown in Washington State. Winemaker Aryn Morell, sources fruit from the most reputable vineyards in the Yakima and Columbia Valley, from winegrowers with experience in growing and harvesting grapes and respect for nature and soil. The winery believes that there is a deep and tangible link between the vines, hills, winegrowers and winemakers, and carries this proof of affinity into every aspect of winemaking: from the vineyard to the cellar, from the vine to the wine bottle.
Each month, they will be exploring a great new cookbook from somewhere around the world, out of the wonderful kitchen at Matthews Estate House and Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Woodinville Wine Country. Highly recommended to stop by. Just give them a call for more information.
